    Job Description

    Job Function:
    The Civil Engineering Design Engineer is responsible for performing engineering duties, including planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects.

    They conduct research and analysis of various data to plan projects, prepare reports on civil engineering topics, and act as a senior technical interface within project teams.

    This role ensures adherence to design criteria, specifications, cost, and schedule goals, while identifying and mitigating technical design risks.

    Tasks Description:
    Coordinate with clients to establish base maps.
    Continuously monitor and update background information.
    Perform CAD drafting with markups.
    Provide technical support in CAD and Civil 3D drafting.
    Assist in troubleshooting CAD problems.
    Efficiently manage tasks and support design documentation and QA/QC project delivery cycles.
    Perform basic Civil 3D functions, such as surface creation, point management, and profiles.
    Set up drawing sheets and layouts for various plans.
    Review specification sections and manage CAD standards across client requirements.
    Coordinate effectively with the design team.

    Required Qualifications and Skills:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
    EIT certification required, CA Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
    5-10 years of relevant work experience with proven results.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    Proficiency in completing CAD-related tasks efficiently and effectively.
    High proficiency in all aspects of civil engineering design elements.
    Ability to provide technical mentorship and training to junior CAD drafters.
    Strong aptitude and desire to update civil engineering design skills.
