    Role Summary/Purpose:

    As a member of the Technology (Tech) and Operations (Ops) Governance organization, the AVP, Change Governance Manager is responsible for leading key governance activities focused on change. They will facilitate and lead our change governance tollgates with our business leaders, legal, compliance, and fair lending members. This position will function as a governance interface for our Tech and Ops leadership teams and partner with the Banks Change Governance COE to ensure effective adherence to bank policies.

    The successful candidate for this role will need effective communication skills, the ability to manage through influencing, the ability to think both strategically and critically and have prior experience managing people. Knowledge of financial services regulations and industry standards, related to our Operational functions (Collections, Customer Solutions, and Servicing), is desired. This role will have an elevated level of visibility across the organization and should be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Partner and foster collaborative relationships with various stakeholders and across the lines of defense to help identify and oversee change governance expectations.
    • Ensure effective communication and understanding of change governance expectations/requirement to key stakeholders and owned functions.
    • Enable monitoring of change governance activities.
    • Help drive key metrics and controls for change governance, to ensure sound risk management.
    • Effectively Challenge project/process owners' identification and assessment of incremental risk as it relates to change activities.
    • Provide periodic updates on change management governance, including metrics and status to management and regulatory bodies, as required.
    • Drive continued optimization around the Change Management Governance process as needed.
    • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
    Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of combined experience in Operations, Governance, Regulatory and/or 2nd or 3rd line Management within a financial services company; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 7+ years of combined experience in Operations, Governance, Regulatory and/or 2nd or 3rd line Management within a financial services company
    • 3+ years of experience with people leadership
    Desired Characteristics:
    • Expert verbal and written communicator, with ability to modulate content based on audience.
    • Previous experience in banking and finance, and knowledge of key regulatory entities e.g., CFPB and OCC and any other relevant regulatory bodies will be an advantage.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
    • Proven experience with partnering, collaborating, and influencing across a large multilayered organization at all levels.
    • Proven experience managing multiple, and competing priorities across stakeholder groups and effectively resolving competing priorities and interests with minimal disruption.
    • Strong project management, analytical and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrate strong risk management mindset and behavior.
    Grade/Level: 10

    The salary range for this position is 75, ,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:
    • You must be 18 years or older
    • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
    • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
    • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
