The
Banquet Bartender is an on call position is responsible for handling face-to-face contact with the banquet guests. They prepare all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the banquet guests. The Banquet Bartenders are directly responsible for taking all beverage orders and serving the requested items to banquet guests. They are to maintain a safe and relaxing atmosphere at the bar and banquet areas.

They are assisted by barbacks, but they are ultimately responsible for the service and cleaning of their assigned bar and sections.

Nights, weekends, and holiday hours are required. This is an on call position.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to safe food handling and serving of alcohol in all its forms (beer, wine, spirits).
  • Provide worldclass guest service by ensuring all drink orders are efficiently served to the guest and checking with the guests that their orders are correct; make any necessary corrections as quickly as possible.
  • Confirm that all bar guests are of legal drinking age.
  • Maintain safety by never overserving a bar guest.
  • Offer friendly and warm greetings to all restaurant and hotel guests.
  • Ultimately responsible for a fully stocked and clean bar area at the end of their shift regardless of being scheduled with a barback or assistant.
  • Promptly take drink and food orders from their bar guests
  • Correctly enter the guests' orders into the selected point of sale system or exercise proper cash handling procedures for cash only functions.
  • Correctly prepare all drinks with correct amounts of ingredients and alcohol pours.
  • Provide worldclass guest service by ensuring all drink orders are efficiently served to the guest and checking with the guests that their orders are correct; make any necessary corrections as quickly as possible.
  • Handle all food and beverage product in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards. Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws concerning food handling and storing.
  • Remove soiled plates, glassware, and silverware from assigned bars and sections as the guest finishes their drinks and meals.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning assignments and maintain the work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule.
  • Nights, weekends, and holiday shifts are required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:


  • Bartending: 5 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • TIPS certification (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Stone Harbor, NJ 08247: Relocate before starting work (required)
