    Description

    COMPANY: Hedge Fund

    POSITION: Corporate Paralegal

    LOCATION: Midtown, Manhattan (HYBRID 3 Days In Office/2 Days Work from Home)

    HOURS: 8:00am – 5:00pm (with flexibility to work earlier and later, as needed)

    COMPENSATION: Up to $85K DOE* + excellent benefits and 401K plan

    BACHELORS DEGREE REQUIRED: PREFERRED

    Our client, a prominent hedge fund located in Midtown, is in search of a Corporate Paralegal. This role calls for a sharp and detail-focused candidate with a versatile approach. The position plays a crucial part in the firm's achievements and demands an enthusiastic individual comfortable with a dynamic working environment.

    Responsibilities of the Corporate Paralegal:

    • Conduct periodic compliance testing and oversight
    • Maintain the Firm's legal and compliance records and documentation
    • Organize compliance related committee meetings
    • Assist with the compliance training program
    • Attend to third-party vendors diligence and liaise with various internal operations teams
    • Monitor compliance developments and contribute to new initiatives
    • Handle ad hoc projects and administrative requests as necessary

    Requirements of the Corporate Paralegal:

    • Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic background
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience in compliance, paralegal, accounting, or operations within financial services
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up capabilities
    • Dedicated, reliable, and industrious
    • Effective team player
    • Demonstrates resourcefulness
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Verification of identity, education, prior employment, and references may be requested
