Summary
The Practice Director oversees operations within practices.

Provides leadership and works with colleagues by providing supervision and direction around practice operations as well as instilling the mission, vision, and values of the areas they lead.

Ensures patient access, financial performance, efficient operations, effective growth, colleague development, and optimal patient experience takes place.

Supports the appropriate growth of services within service line such as supporting the development of business and operational plans, acquisitions, and rationalizing the organization's geographic footprint.

Develops the leadership competencies of direct reports with supervisory responsibilities. Plays a significant role on the team to implement changes to meet organizational, operational, and patient centered goals.


Job Duties

  • Ensures that all relevant local, state, and federal guidelines as well as LVHN standard work, policies, and training are maintained by the practices including the LVHN Compliance Policy.
  • Supports the development of business and operational plans as well as the acquisition process that enhances growth, rationalizes organization's geographic footprint, leverages economies of scale, and proactively addresses appropriate consolidation.
  • Assumes responsibility for financial performance including supporting the budget development processes, budget expense monitoring, net patient revenue tracking, expense management, variance inquiry and explanation, and labor management. Serves as central point of contact for data collection and/or analysis across service lines.
  • Communicates financial information to direct reports along with triad leaders and Administration. Communicates visit and volume information, in conjunction with or in absence of, practice lead to all physicians and APCs within the practice.
  • Monitors and responds to trends in patient experience.
  • Partners in the strategy and execution of key shortterm and longterm initiatives through coordination with the Administrator and promotes the service line in collaboration with key stakeholders. Escalates appropriately to the next level(s) of leadership to ensure progress is maintained.
  • Performs service recovery duties for appropriate issues using sound judgement.
  • Encourages a culture of professional development and serves as a rolemodel for the development of direct reports with supervision responsibilities and the triad leaders in their areas of responsibility.
  • Facilitates performance management of all reports including hiring, counseling and discipline, performance evaluation, professional development, retention, and training.
  • Addresses performance issues promptly, fairly, and appropriately using sound judgement in compliance with organizational policy and applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years Relevant experience. Experience in healthcare and supervisory experience directing other's work.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change.
  • Excellent computer skills, including electronic medical record (EMR) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in both transactional and transformational leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and lead change.
  • Demonstrated skill in financial management including budget, budget variance analysis, and action plans.
  • Demonstrated superb communication skills at all levels.
