- 5 to 10 years of project experience in water resources engineering
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, or other related Engineering with an emphasis in water resources
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong motivation to develop a range of water resources design skills and to work with a team approach
- Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
- Experience using MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or ArcMAP/GIS
- Completion of (or plan to complete) the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) Exam
- Related MDOT design experience
- Maryland design experience for stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling, or NPDES/ TMDL related services
- Prepare designs for drainage, stormwater management and erosion and sediment control
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling analyses
- Perform field investigations and evaluate existing conditions
- Prepare engineering documents (plans, specifications, estimates) for review and approval
- Assist with permitting for local, state, and federal agency approvals
- Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings
