Job Title:
Motorcycle/Powersports Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with motorcycles, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Perform safety inspections to ensure that motorcycles meet regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide recommendations for repair or maintenance work.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with other tasks as needed, such as motorcycle detailing or parts ordering.
- Keep workplace area clean and organized.
- Move display inventory inside and outside of shop on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal motorcycle mechanic training program or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong mechanical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to take on other tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as motorcycles and equipment, weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Experience:
- Mechanic: 3 years (preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Houston, TX 77095: Relocate before starting work (required)
