I hired a renovation for my apartment on February 2nd in Mount Pleasant, SC. I paid the builder 5,400€ to start the work. As of today, my house is uninhabitable and they have only completed 2%. They always give me excuses and promise to finish on time. The deadline is April 3rd and I have little hope that the work will progress. I would like to terminate the contract, get my money back, and have them hand over the keys.
This person is a scammer, apparently not the first time they have done this, and I don't believe they are financially stable.
I need guidance and a quote for the cost of recovering my money (if possible) or getting out of this mess in the best way possible.
All my money is invested in this house and I cannot afford to lose such a large amount.
I am desperate.
