SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Daily trips to various facilities
- Deliveries to Customers
- Daily Pickups at Vendors
- Weekly trips to other company locations
- Additional duties/deliveries as assigned
- Pick and prepare parts for shipment based upon a daily demand
- Prepare daily Outside Processing deliveries
- Verifies and maintain records for daily shipments
- Confirms inbound receipt information against packing list or vendor paperwork and inspects receipts for damage or shortages
- Ship and package parts using identified practices to ensure parts arrive at end destination safely and undamaged
- Utilize vendor portals and shipping systems to create shipping authorizations prior to shipment and packaging
- Communicate with carriers to arrange for shipment and delivery of packages
- Ability to accurately count and record quantities for cyclecount purposes
- Maintain inventory of shipping supplies to ensure no outages
- Communicate articulately with management and other team members on shipping/receivingrelated concerns
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Current CT Driver License
- Clean driving record
- Must be insured and/or insurable
- Must be flexible to allow last minute changes to pickup/delivery schedules
- Must be able to work under mínimal supervision
- Willing to make independent decisions
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer and organizational skills are a must
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with navigating the internet
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Warehouse experience
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing demands throughout the day
- Ability to learn and navigate DRT's ERP system.
- Effectively use various modules for shipping, receiving, material issues, and inventory transactions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School/GED
- Five years of related experience is desired
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be fluent in English with the ability to read. Must be able to respond to inquiries.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Uses addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers including decimals and fractions. Checks reports, forms, records, and comparable data where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.DRT Is an ITAR compliant company.
