Description

Clinton Elementary School is seeking a Reading Specialist to join our team of educators.

The Reading Specialist would be responsible for collaborating with teachers to collect and analyze data for students with emerging and documented learning differences and subsequently plan appropriate interventions.

The ideal candidate would work closely with the classroom teacher, the data team, and the student study team.

Responsibilities include:

Lead small group pullout reading support as neededEmploy a variety of teaching and assessment methods to engage different learning styles and ability levelsPrepare motivating and stimulating lessonsBuild positive relationships with and among studentsEncourage an inclusive classroom that accepts different perspectives and backgrounds of studentsCoach/consult with teachers, model classroom activities, and provide resources as neededUse data to develop lessons and instructional activities as needed and to track and monitor student progressHave familiarity with reading assessments and how to respond to the data ex.)
