Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (mechanical / fuel tank) who is on top of a project with accuracy, organization, documentation, communication, diplomacy and negotiation involved from bidding through close out and executing a smoothly run construction project.
General Contracting area of work is NYC, Long Island, and Westchester.- Five years' experience in Construction Project Management.
- Fuel Tank and Environmental services a plus
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Bonus for CADD or similar programs.
- Ability to vet proposals by reviewing RFPs, drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, close out docs, etc. as needed to complete job through close out.
- Must have clean drivers license.
- Help evaluate all aspects of an estimate including insurance, bonding, and general conditions.
- Help prepare detailed proposals.
- Maintain positive client relationships.
- Develop, negotiate, and execute change orders.
- Identify opportunities, accumulate, assess, and document business development project data through our centralized database.
- Attend Site Visits And Prebid Meetings.
- Perform all counts and takeoffs for all trades and subcontractors.
- Review all responses/bids and update all bidders accordingly.
- Create a job timeline/schedules with the Site Super; account for all phases, dependencies and long lead items.
- Project Coordination
- Ensure all subcontractors and vendors materials are in line with schedule.
- Construction Budget
- Ensures construction is executed according to the approved budget.
- Our success depends on developing and maintaining an excellent stable set of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Clearly identify what traits excellent suppliers and subcontractors consistently display.
- Must be able to recognize unrealistic pricing and timelines during estimating and implementation phases.
- Prioritize workloads.
Pay:
From $75,000.00 per year
