Overview:

Under the supervision of the Account Representative Manager, this position provides quality customer service to the clients of National Insurance Services. Additionally, it involves sales of group employee benefits to school districts and municipalities with a focus on Insured Products.

National Insurance Services (NIS) specializes in offering employee benefit solutions for public sector organizations, aiding in the easy delivery of essential services to local communities.

What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for cross selling and servicing existing accounts within the designated territory.
  • Responsible for Insured Product prospecting and sales in the assigned area.
  • Act as the main contact for groups, collaborating with various company resources to address issues.
  • Identifying client needs and creating suitable product/service solutions.
  • Conducting presentations in group settings as necessary.
  • Collaborating on special projects as needed.
  • Maintaining and updating databases and customer files according to company guidelines.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed about project statuses.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in group insurance.
  • Life and health insurance licenses required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year of customer service experience or equivalent background.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills, with an emphasis on sales.
  • Background in group long-term disability and life insurance preferred.
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time with overnight stays multiple times a month.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to comprehend insurance contract language.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Requirements for flexible work hours, including occasional overtime.
