Your Responsibilities - Based on a literature review, use and compare analytical methods in the field of mechanical buckling in direct reference to selected SAMSON valves.

  • Developing and optimizing the existing FEM simulation setup is part of your tasks.
  • You identify and quantify key influencing factors on buckling behavior.
  • You systematically evaluate FEM simulations using a methodology developed by you.
  • Afterwards, you develop measures to optimize buckling behavior.
  • Your investigation is completed by documenting and preparing the results.

Your Profile - You are in the advanced semester of your master's degree, ideally in the field of mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

  • Good knowledge and a high interest in structural mechanics are required.
  • You have knowledge in conducting structural mechanical analyses using common FEM software (e.g. ANSYS Mechanical).
  • In addition, you stand out with independence, initiative, and teamwork skills.
  • You also have very good German and good English skills.
