Description
As the Fleet Coordinator you are responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all equipment.

All duties of the fleet coordinator are to be performed according to the company's operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the worksite and to perform the tasks effectively.

This position will provide assistance with the mobilization and demobilization of units and associated equipment. You will develop strong communications with all field personnel, managers and office staff.

As the Safety Coordinator you are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work.

The main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to to reduce work-related injuries.


Fleet Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:


  • Inspects and evaluates fleet equipment, recommends repair and/or replacement of existing equipment, and maintains records of fleet inventories, assignments, and usage.
  • Coaching on safe driving techniques with the help of Samsera Alerts.
  • Investigating preventability of incidents/accidents involving company drivers and recommending corrective actions to eliminate reoccurrences.
  • Identifying potential trends to be addressed in future training efforts.
  • Recording and maintaining driver violations and assigning corrective action as needed.
  • Tracking maintenance reports.
  • Sending safety messages to drivers.
  • Managing fleet camera program.

Fleet Safety Coordinator Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations including OSHA and DOT.
  • Highly organized.
  • Must be able to interact effectively at all levels, both internally and externally and with all levels of management.
  • Proven record of making wellinformed decisions in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Safety first mindset.
  • Computer literacy and typing skills required.
  • Microsoft office or google office experience preferred.
  • Selfmotivated and can work effectively with mínimal supervision.
