What You Will Do

All Lowe's employees provide high-quality customer service while keeping the store clean, safe, and well-stocked with the items our customers want.

As an Asset Protection & Safety Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Store Operational Leadership team to ensure associates offer friendly, professional, and timely service to all customers.
  • Monitoring receiving, shipping, and selling patterns for the assigned store.
  • Leading initiatives and implementing processes and controls to enhance safety, reduce shrinkage, and improve security outcomes.

The Asset Protection & Safety Manager (APSM) supervises programs and procedures to minimize losses and maintain a secure working and shopping environment.

This role involves monitoring and addressing criminal activities, training associates, and managing inventory levels to reduce shrinkage and shortages. The APSM may also need to handle violent altercations to safeguard customers and staff. They are considered an expert on safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations.

  • Travel Requirements: This position does not involve frequent travel, but occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
What We're Looking For
  • Hourly Full Time or
Part Time:

Typically scheduled for 39 to 40 hours or up to 25 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours based on store requirements.

  • Availability needed in the morning, afternoon, and evening on any day of the week.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing, sitting, and other job-related activities.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds independently and possibly more with or without assistance.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher OR High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of relevant work experience (e.g., retail or Asset Protection).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, Business, or a related field in Asset Protection.
  • Nationally certified training program (e.g., Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training).
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., APQ, APC) or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience supervising employees directly or indirectly, including coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • 2 years of experience as a Manager in a retail environment with 1 year of experience in quality reviews/audits.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing business documents (e.g., P&L, exception reports).
  • Proven experience in retail investigations and using physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, EAS).
