Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by acting as a member of a store design studio.

This role provides project management support to a team of store designers including project management and documentation, and system and tools support.

This key role enables the studio team to design stores that uphold the Starbucks Customer Experience while meeting cost, schedule, and operational requirements.

Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.


Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions may include part or all of the following based on business need:

  • Support managers and senior managers with established studio reporting by generating updates, collecting information and distributing reports including generating design workload reporting.
  • Support established process for consultant proposals, contracts and payments; may include routing for approval(s) and facilitating support when issues arise.
  • Support new Partner and new consultant onboarding with key resources, systems access, etc. including access to Box, Smartsheet, Miro, etc
  • Coordinate and schedule design review sessions, including gathering documents and preparing agendas on behalf of design review leaders.
  • Update Compass features for projects; add completed approvals to schematic packages
  • Coordinate and schedule team meetings including gathering documents and preparing agendas on behalf of the meeting leader.
  • Manage design library, including ordering, receiving and organizing samples, as well as contacting vendors, coordinating with global concepts team and support services, etc.
  • Retrieve + organize key design files and business documents needed for design creation and project management from project start to closeout, including coordination with external consultants.
  • Provide administrative support for digital file system, Including updates and creation of digital files such as Miro boards for use in Market Planning, Scoping and Vetting, new project setup, maintaining file organization standards, project file archiving, etc.
  • Manage enterprise support requests on behalf of the studio and communicate.
  • Manage project photograph intake and organization. Coordinate professional photography as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate 360 orders and communicate site survey orders to operations team.
  • Create, manage and submit quarterly studio Snapshot package. Manage approval and editing of final product.
  • Maintain regular schedule within established business hours. Manage and report working hours efficiently and effectively.
  • Create digital presentation boards in In-Design, Power Point, etc for Seniors and Designers

Basic Qualifications

  • Education (minimum education level, degree or certification necessary): Associates degree (any field of study) or significant professional experience in related field.
  • Skills (minimum skills required): Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills (minimum needed to be qualified): 13 years

Preferred qualifications

  • Education (ideal education level or degree): Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Project management in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience in architectural design or construction
  • Supports a design, creative or similar organization
  • Basic knowledge of architectural design software (Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD, In-Design or similar).
