Purpose / Summary:

The Operations Manager assists in the development of an overall training strategy to support business initiatives and objectives.

Lead the facility's general operations and its employees that includes scheduling, building maintenance, customer service and business development in accordance with company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensures the training and development solutions are consistent with business strategies, management priorities and adaptable to global requirements.
  • Facility's representative and liaison for corporate communications.
  • Manages the scheduling and delivery of training and development programs.
  • Ensures training information is updated and accessible.
  • Participates in and controls the facility's annual operating budget.
  • Analyzes marketing needs to develop new training programs through student / client feedback.
  • Confers with management and conducts surveys to identify training needs based on projected needs, changes and other factors.
  • Conducts routine staff planning meetings as needed for smooth operations.
  • Partners with the Human Resources Department on personnel issues.
  • Guides, supports and consults location employees regarding career advancement.
  • Reviews and approves purchase orders, expense reports and timesheets.
  • Manages the competency assurance program for their facility's personnel.
  • Responsible for recommending hiring, evaluating and terminating employees working at their respective location.
  • Reviews and approves Instructor assignments on a routine basis and spotchecks classroom performance for quality purposes and provides feedback.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors Degree in management, business or related field from an accredited university with 5 years relevant job experience; or 10 years of safety training experience with 5 years in a management role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
