- Job Title: Material Control Specialist II
- Job Type: Full Time; Contract
- Location: Savannah, GA
- Schedule: 1st Shift
- Pay Rate: $20.20 per hour
- Material Tracking: Release, interpret, process, and track the status of route cards to ensure accurate movement of materials.
- Material Handling: Ensure proper handling and storage of materials throughout the entire material flow process.
- Logistics Operations: Unload delivery vehicles, sort materials by destination, and scan materials to proper locations. Ensure that incoming materials are free from damage and properly handled.
- Inventory Management: Move materials from one staging/stocking location to another using appropriate inventory transactions.
- System Processing: Process materials using automated systems, such as CAS/SAP, to ensure timely delivery of materials to various departments.
- Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles as required.
- Process parts through receipts of purchase or manufacturing orders.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and quality procedures.
- Responsible for the accuracy and packaging of shipments.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and apply Lean concepts within functional responsibilities.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in material handling, expediting, or warehouse operations.
- Certifications: Ability to obtain Q or PQ/RI stamp.
- Skills: Proficient in CAS/SAP transactions, basic computer skills, and the ability to perform math and reading assessments.
- Character: High level of integrity and reliability.
- Physical: Ability to lift and move heavy items, forklift experience preferred.
