- Assist in the hiring process, conduct staff evaluations, program observations, and be actively involved in the disciplinary process for DSP staff.
- Ensure that assigned DSP are actively involved in providing quality, active, on-going and enriching services for people receiving supports both on-grounds and in the community.
- Coordinate with the Training department to ensure on-going training of DDSs and DSPs. Conduct onsite staff trainings as needed.
- In conjunction with the Residence Managers and DSPs, ensures that residences are maintained in a safe and clean environment and that participants are appropriately groomed and attired.
- Manage DSP staff assignments where needed to ensure that the health and safety of the people receiving supports is maintained.
- Monitor and facilitate program activities for participants within the Day Program.
- Act as a liaison among the various departments to ensure appropriate services are provided in a safe effective environment (Day Program, Medical, Residential, Clinical and Maintenance).
- Coordinate transportation and staffing assignments for the AM and PM transportation runs, medical appointments and off ground activities.
- Ensure that adequate staff coverage is maintained for all ICF residences and Day Programs needs during programming hours.
- Agree to follow federal, state and local governmental regulatory guidelines pertaining to a safe, healthy and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Must have a High School or General Education Diploma
- An Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Services
- 5 year experience working with a MR/DD population is preferred.
- 2 Years Supervisory experience
- Must have a Valid Driver's License in the TriState Area - NY,NJ,CT
