PURPOSE:
Manages product lifecycle for products in a product family. Assess product performance, forecast sales in line with sales objectives. Lead product pricing, packaging, positioning and P&L. Conduct market assessment and leverage insights to enhance products. Serve as expert in product family.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage and assist in the development of products and features for assigned Market(s). Identify differentiated, innovative and value-added benefits to succeed in highly competitive market.
Improves market revenue and profit performance by recommending product and packaging development programs; providing customer and competitor perspectives; coordinating introduction timetables with related departments.
For assigned Market(s), manage and assist in the facilitation of multidisciplinary product development or product implementation teams.Serve as business owner, point person and consensus builder for marketing, product, and strategic issues balancing customer needs, financial requirements and corporate strategic goals.
Manage and assist in the monitoring of profitability, enrollment, customer satisfaction, and market and competitor trends in order to recommend new products, product enhancements, or product retirements.
Develop monthly updates and presentation of quarterly comprehensive closing documents to staff in order to gauge Markets performance and to summarize key findings and trends.
- Hire, train and manage multidisciplinary teams to develop and publish annual product/segment plan.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages people.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience:5 years demonstrated progressive product management or marketing management experience. 1 year supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of marketing principles, such as web advertising, performance, and direct response marketing.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to partner and lead across an organization to develop marketing communication campaigns and programs.
Licenses/Certifications:
Professional Certified Marketer-AMA Upon Hire.
Salary Range:
$110,800 - $205,673
