Back Office Medical Assistant

Position Description:
The back office medical assistant escorts patients into treatment rooms and performs the medical intake assessment. The assistant provides patient care, doctor assistance, assures facility cleanliness, and updates patient charts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain patient flow into treatment rooms
Prepare patients to be seen by the doctor
Take X-Rays and prepares medical instruments
Clean treatment rooms between patients
Inventory supplies and maintains equipment
Maintain a high level of patient service
Update patient charts
Maintain patient confidentiality and security according to HIPAA guidelines
Schedule follow up appointments and collect patient payments

Experience & Skills:

Medical Assistant certification and podiatry experience strongly preferred
Xray operations
Electronic Medical Records
Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
Professionalism in interpersonal interactions and personal presentation/appearance
Bilingual, preferred
