- Removes, installs, maintains, repairs, and rebuilds gasoline and/or diesel engines.
- Diagnoses electrical and mechanical problems and effectively relays information to management.
- Maintains a quarterly productivity average of at least three completed assets per month.

- Trailer lights, brakes (air, hydraulic and electric), suspension, tires, and axles
- Utilizes checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined, documents findings and resolutions.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Test-runs and loads bank generators.
- Inputs accurate data into CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems).
- Ensures shop cleanliness and organization.
- Fosters a positive working relationship with co-workers, customers, and management.
- Completes all required safety and equipment-related training on a monthly basis.
- Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.

Description
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the removal, repair/rebuild, installation, and quality control testing of gas and/or diesel engines (air compressors, light towers, generators, etc.).
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic must have a strong understanding of both engine and AC electrical theory and be able to use a variety of diagnostic tools and equipment.
This position must be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet equipment production targets and quality standards.
