POSITION OBJECTIVE:

A security guard consistently monitors to keep the campus safe.

An experienced security guard is a detailed and friendly person, who will build strong professional relationships with staff, students and community.

DUTIES &


RESPONSIBILITIES:
(These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)

  • Inspect and patrol premises regularly
  • Monitor property entrance
  • Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
  • Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
  • Secure all exits, doors and windows
  • Monitor surveillance cameras
  • Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
  • Provide assistance to people in need
  • Submit reports of every suspicious action
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

  • High School Diploma
  • Possession of a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Security guard license and/or law enforcement experience preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to young people's learning success and achievement, a must

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Medium Work:

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
