New Site Development Department


The New Site Development (NSD) team is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and delivering qualified shovel ready sites to the Vantage construction team.

NSD is responsible for site due diligence, initial concept design, entitlements and permitting, utility, fiber and power acquisition, budget, schedule, and creative problem solving for all new projects.

At the appropriate time, NSD transitions project ownership to the construction team for final execution.

Collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders is core to NSD's role in achieving the below guiding goals:

Guiding Goals:

Deliver qualified sites that allow our construction team to efficiently build sites in line with our design requirements, leasing goals, schedule requirements and budget goals.


This shall include the following:
Preliminary site review - High level evaluation of sites with actionable feedback for site selection team.


Analyze sites in diligence - Understand site specific risks, issues, concerns and development strategies to mitigate risks for qualified sites.


Lead design developments - Understand Vantage specific design requirements and specific leasing requirements to lead design development teams to hand off to construction teams that meet our design requirements, schedule and budget goals.

Obtain necessary approvals - Understand specific project approvals required, develop plans, schedules and lead time to obtain the required approvals.

Identifying and Securing Power - Understand power requirements, market availability, and work with utilities and industry partners to efficiently plan and secure delivered power to all sites.

Position Description


Vantage is seeking a highly organized, self-starting, and proactive Project Coordinator to drive core project management and coordination efforts across a wide spectrum of projects within the New Site Development and Utility Teams.

This person will provide a key role in identifying and progressing data center developments from inception to construction shovel ready.


This position will assist New Site Development Managers with site due diligence, concept/schematic design, entitlements/permitting, budget, and schedule for all new major projects and at the appropriate time transition them to the Construction Project Management Team for execution.

The position will also play key role in supporting power planning, rate research, and utility coordination.


Constant and effective communication with vendor partners and many internal departments is critical including: finance, policy, construction, legal, market development, engineering, operations, and more.

Daily tasks include submittal management, change order management, meeting coordination, administration of project reports, contracts, site selection support, budgeting support, participation in design development, and transition of close-out documentation to construction.

Essential Job Functions- Take initiative on all functions and tasks.

Ask questions, drive solutions, and follow-up.- Assist with vendor management including: onboarding, contracts, purchase order processing, invoice tracking, and closeout.- Management of project documentation, reports, budgets, schedules, and presentations.- Support New Site Development Managers and Utility team with all project related tasks and documentation.- Independently research and track utility rate and other information in support of power planning.- Track project progress and identify, documentation, and mitigate risks.- Communicate often with project stakeholders including clients, vendors, and internal teams.- At the appropriate time transition design and preconstruction packages to VDC Construction Project Managers for execution.- Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements- Bachelor of Science degree in business, construction, or related field preferred but not essential.- Construction and Project Management experience preferred but not required.- 3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator in assisting or supervising projects of increasing complexity required.
