Shift Hours:

1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), Days (Monday - Friday), 8am-4:30pm
**The Director, Technical Services defines the vision, strategy, and roadmap for overall enterprise infrastructure to facilitate strategic and long-range planning for a set of broad business objectives. Responsible for IT infrastructure including Data Center operations, Telecommunications, Network, Server, Data Base and Storage, as well as Cloud Compute and Storage. Is responsible for reliable system uptime.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Communicates the infrastructure vision across the enterprise and helps various segments adopt and adapt to the proposed solutions. Builds the infrastructure roadmap with the business strategy in mind to ensure a reliable, scalable and optimized technology infrastructure.
  • Mentors Infrastructure Leaders and staff, providing opportunities for professional growth via education in IT concepts, guidance, and handson training.
  • Removes obstacles that impede their objectives; engages and influences all major business partners on their respective initiatives.
  • Partners with EPMO and Solution Management to align programs to the overall IT strategy and infrastructure roadmap and defines and implements infrastructure principles, methodologies, and benchmarks.
  • Works with security and compliance teams to ensure that methodologies in cybersecurity are applied and conforms to company and industry practices.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends infrastructure technologies. Helps lead tradeoff studies and promotes adoption of the right solutions for the enterprise; works closely to operationalize the architectures with solution architects and delivery team to profile the implementation.
  • Participates in an enterprise architecture review board to ensure technical solutions meet the expectations of the business while coexisting with existing architectures.
  • Defines and maintains inherently secure, reliable, resilient, and composable infrastructure that scales for growth and manages the deployment and configuration of systems utilizing strict ITIL based change management processes and procedures.
  • Defines repeatable artifacts that document the proposed architectures, designs, processes, and tooling.
  • Helps with reviews and audits of existing architectures and implementations and helps with refactoring architectures where required.
  • Reviews all areas of expenditure for opportunities to reduce expenditures while maintaining required service levels.
The Director, in the context of the medical/administrative partnership, is specifically responsible for:

  • Recognizing market trends, judging the impact on their AOR, contributing to responsive strategic plans, developing AOR operational plans, articulating these plans, and ensuring the understanding, alignment and commitment of all AOR staff. Fiscal Management

10+ years of demonstrated enterprise infrastructure experience within IT:


  • 7+ years of management experience and building enterprise infrastructure teams:

Track record of successfully establishing and implementing enterprise infrastructure management methods and practices in an Agile and DevOps environment:


  • Demonstrated knowledge of SaaS, infrastructure, database, and cloud computing architectures:
