Covenant Physician Partners is looking for a Fulltime Pre-Registration Associate to join the team at Anne Arundel Gastroenterology Associates / The Maryland Center for Digestive Health in Annapolis, Maryland.
This position is based in Annapolis, MD.
The Pre-Registration Associate will be responsible for verifying insurance details and gathering patient information before their scheduled appointments.
Reporting to the Billing Manager, the employee will follow the Covenant Code of Conduct, Human Resource Policies and Procedures, Operational Policy and Procedure Manual, HIPAA Compliance, Patient Bill of Rights, and the Corporate Compliance Plan.
- Check and precertify patient insurance information before appointments.
- Prepare patient charts by updating demographics, requesting referrals, and collecting necessary forms.
- Advise patients on financial responsibilities like deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
- Assist self-pay patients with payment arrangements.
- Monitor past schedules for completed paperwork and authorizations.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years of insurance verification experience
- Previous EHR/EMR experience
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Prior Authorization/Referrals experience
