    Description

    Buffalo-based Buffalo Wire Works manufactures and supplies a complete line of wire cloth, wear parts, plate, anti-blinding screens, rubber/urethane and screening accessories for the aggregate and mining industries.

    Overview:

    Responsible for approximately 5 direct report employees as well as managing the daily plant operations of production, warehouse, receiving, and shipping for 20k square foot facility to ensure that all safety and policies/procedures are followed, and customer expectations are met. Maintain and develop processes that will improve safety, quality and plant productivity. This is a "hands-on" position.

    • Promote and maintain a clean and safe facility.
    • Review and enforce all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, performance, attendance and discipline.
    • Responsible for managing the flow of production through departments to ensure on-time delivery, meeting efficiency and quality standards.
    • Oversee all warehousing, receiving and shipments of material and product.
    • Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports.
    • Ensure tagging and stock shipments are correct, ensure pulling and returning materials from stock are handled correctly and efficiently.
    • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure stocking levels of material is adequate and sufficient.
    • Ensure appropriate training of all staff to meet competencies necessary to execute their roles effectively and efficiently.
    • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
    • Establish and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Ensure shop floor orderliness, housekeeping and appearance.
    • Assist in the selection and sourcing of production equipment, tooling and materials required for production and/or process improvement.
    • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management and recognize that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the company.
