    As a Counselor, your role is pivotal in saving lives daily by offering counseling services to your assigned clients, conducting individual and family/group therapy sessions, and fostering an atmosphere conducive to long-term recovery. You will collaborate with the Clinical Director and Executive Director to create and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for residents.

    Requirements:

    • 4-year degree in a social science field with a CSAC or CSAC eligibility (minimum requirement)
    • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, with at least one year of experience in the field (preferred)
    • Preferable licenses: CSAC, LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LSAT, or LRIC

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate client counseling needs
    • Assess clients for substance abuse using DSM criteria and determine appropriate care levels based on ASAM criteria
    • Create client discharge/continuum of care plans to ensure progression to suitable care levels
    • Record all counseling and educational services, assessments, referrals, and follow-ups in client clinical records
    • Manage client caseload, including case management and utilization review updates
    • Coordinate support services for clients/families and document the services in client clinical records
    • Communicate and coordinate with referral sources such as legal entities, schools, and employers
    • Provide crisis intervention for assigned clients using a team approach
    • Proficient in individual, group, and family counseling
    • Ability to lead psychoeducation groups
    • Experience in treating substance use disorders, including medication-assisted therapy
    • Adhere to Pinnacle Treatment Centers' policies and federal confidentiality laws (42-CFR, Pt 2)
