Primary Function:
Responsible for seating of residents in the dining room and satisfactorily handling situations as they arise. Supervises the activities of service persons in the dining room, to ensure proper service and sanitation procedures are followed. Assists in the training of new employees, under the direction of the Assistant Director of Dining.

Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of dining room service, sanitation, and safety procedures. Possesses the ability to follow instructions, work well with others and maintain a good rapport with residents. Is respectful to all management, coworkers, and residents. Refers all problems to supervisor and is able to accept constructive criticism.

Responsibilities:

Ensures that the Main Dining Room provides optimum dining service to residents and guests which promotes their use and enjoyment of the facility.
Provides leadership and management of the main dining room which promotes employee morale and effective delivery of services.
Maintains a professional management approach in the training and supervision of staff and follows established personnel procedures in a cooperative and constructive manner.
Assists with scheduling of Main Dining Room servers.
May need to fill in as Server when needed.
Fulfills duties of the Assistant Director in the Main Dining or for Special Functions, in the absence of the Assistant Director.
Reviews and completes set-up for special functions for the following day.
Willing to adjust schedule when necessary to assist with duties of the Assistant Director in the Main Dining Room, Special Functions and on holidays.
