Job Summary and Qualifications:

OR Aide / OR Assistant

The Operating Room Aide (OR Aide) performs direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting and assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment.

As an OR Aide, your duties include but are not limited to:

Follow specific procedures to perform terminal cleaning of the OR and prepare rooms for new patients
Use industrial cleaning agents and equipment following appropriate safety procedures
Clean and make stretchers/beds
Assist in the turnover of all OR rooms between cases
Stock all assigned areas and deliver specimens/blood to the lab
Transport patients as directed by nurse

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
6 months housekeeping experience preferred
Heavy lifting may also be required (25lbs75lbs)
