    Description

    Job Title: IT Buyer (6-Month Contract)

    Overview: We are seeking a skilled IT Buyer for a 6-month contract position to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of IT procurement processes, particularly in the realm of IT professional services and Software as a Service (SaaS) contracts. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient acquisition of IT goods and services while maximizing value and minimizing risk.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the acquisition of IT professional services and SaaS solutions.
    2. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor performance metrics to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
    3. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for IT professional services and SaaS contracts, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and conditions that align with organizational objectives.
    4. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards throughout the procurement process. Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT vendor contracts.
    5. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in IT procurement processes. Implement strategies to maximize the value of IT investments.
    6. Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT procurement. Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and solutions.
    7. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, finance, and business units, to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure alignment in procurement activities.
    8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor communications. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate procurement status, performance, and insights to stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT procurement, with a focus on IT professional services and SaaS contracts.
    • Proven track record of successfully negotiating complex IT contracts and managing vendor relationships.
    • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to IT procurement, including contract law, data privacy, and intellectual property rights.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) preferred.
