As aData & AI Platform Lead Integration Architect
, you are responsible for
the planning, coordination, development, and supervision of all activities related to the integration of software components, and third-party solutions to meet the business requirements of the Gilead Data and AI platform.
This individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint for the platform and leading the software delivery efforts to realize the architecture.
Responsibilities:
Develop integration, API standards and patterns required to develop the self-serve capabilities for Gilead's Data Mesh and Data & AI platformcapabilities
Develop and maintain the solution design for variousintegrations
Oversee critical steps within the Software Development Life Cycle components that impact platform-widedevelopment
Lead an engineering team to realize the architecture to delivercapabilities
Provide expert advice to project teams on use of integration technology, data architecture and modeling, system architecture including integration bestpractices
Provide oversight through creation and review ofofproject work including detailed technical specifications and applicationcode
Manage internal resources as well as augmented or externally sourced teammembers
Oversee development and support of front-end and back-end processes related to the Data and AIplatform
Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problemresolution
Communicate project status to various levels ofmanagement
Partner with leaders of other disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business and securityarchitectures
Occasional regional travel
Basic Qualifications & Experience:
8+ years with BS/BA or 6+ years with MS/MA/MBA
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
BA/BS degree preferred, and 10+ years of relevant workexperience
Knowledge of common system integration methods and technologies including Web services, APIs, React Single Page Apps, JSON, Data and ML services from various cloud providers
Expertise in creating solutions with various AWStechnologies
Experience in leading agile software engineering teams
Experience in various Data & ML technologies such as Spark, EMR, Databricks,Sagemaker
Expertise in solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support, in addition to strong business understanding and projectmanagement
Experience with the implementation of CI / CD practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery and regression test
Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, Business teams and internalstakeholders
Experience working withAPIsfrom commercial SaaS applications
A passion for all things tech and has a drive to experiment with new technologies to see where they can benefit thebusiness
Experience in a management or supervisory role on an integration development team
Excellent communication skills
An interest in staying hands-on technical as well as wearing that team managementhat
Established project management skills
People Leader Accountabilities
The salary range for this position is: $150, $194, Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
