    Description

    Safepoint Insurance is a Property & Casualty insurance company based in Tampa, FL, and we are currently looking for experienced Personal Lines Underwriters to join our team in Metairie, LA.


    • Job Summary:

    Review applications, inspections, and endorsement requests to determine property eligibility for coverage within company guidelines.

    • Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Review exterior inspection reports, new business submissions, and follow-up tasks for underwriting review.
    • Assess requests for underwriter action, cancellations, reinstatements, and endorsements.
    • Interpret manuals and contracts for various lines of business and states.
    • Input information accurately into the policy administration system.
    • Communicate effectively internally and externally, escalating issues when necessary.
    • Adhere to established productivity and quality metrics.
    • Assist service associates and agents with exception requests.
    • Qualifications:

    3-5 years of underwriting experience in property and casualty insurance.

    P&C Producer license in LA and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states.

    Thorough knowledge of underwriting processes and analytics.

    Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.

    • Physical Requirements:

    The employee must be able to talk, stand, walk, type, and use hands effectively.
