Server/waiter/waitress - Staten Island, United States - The Basement

Overview:
We are seeking dedicated Servers to join our team.
As a Server, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and enhancing the dining experience for our guests.
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Present menus and explain menu items to guests
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Serve food and beverages promptly
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Upsell additional items when appropriate
- Process payments and operate the POS system
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
Skills: - Proficient in basic math for handling payments and making change
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
- Familiarity with reservation systems like OpenTable is a plus
- Strong hospitality, customer service, guest relations, and guest services skills
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively
- Knowledge of culinary terms and dishes from the kitchen Join our team as a Server to deliver exceptional service in a dynamic restaurant environment.
