Il Buco al Mare, the latest addition to Donna Lennard's restaurant portfolio, is situated at 231 Main Street in Amagansett.

Inspired by Bottega il Buco in Ibiza, Spain, and our previous pop-up in Montauk, this establishment offers ingredient-driven cuisine reminiscent of the original il Buco.

The Cuisine:

Il Buco al Mare's menu showcases the finest local seafood and produce, including ancient grain focaccias, imported tinned fish from the Iberian Peninsula and Italy, and seasonal delights from our wood-burning oven.

The wine list is a unique selection of small, multi-generational producers focusing on coastal regions and wines influenced by the sea, embodying the essence of 'al mare'.

Who you are:
As a key member of the Service team, the Bartender is an expert in cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage offerings, consistently delivering exceptional service. This role involves fulfilling all beverage orders from dining guests, possessing a deep understanding of food and menu items to assist the team, respond to guest inquiries about drinks, and act as a leader within the service team.
What you'll do:
Welcome bar guests and ensure that waiting guests are acknowledged.
Accurately measure cocktail ingredients, particularly for signature drinks.
Require the use of a credit card to open tabs not settled immediately.
Correctly input all drinks on checks.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of beers, wines, juices, and water in bar refrigerators.
Keep the bar area tidy throughout service.
Complete the closing checklist for the bar before leaving, unless instructed otherwise by management.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar and lounge area according to health standards.
Ensure all necessary ingredients and garnishes are available for drink preparation, including signature cocktails.
Finish your shift with a fully stocked bar.
Possess expertise on food, wine, and cocktail menus.
Required Skills:
Dedication to Italian beverage culture and Campari
Proficiency in crafting Specialty and Classic Cocktails
Knowledge of European coastal Wines, Beer, and Beverages
Menu Familiarity and Ability to Recommend Beverage Pairings
Understanding of Proper Service Procedures
Effective Communication with Colleagues, Management, and Kitchen Staff
Experience in a Fast-Paced Bar Environment
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
