The Safety Specialist supports the company's safety goals by developing and performing audits, inspections, date entry, and other general administration tasks.

The Safety Specialist makes an impact by **- Responsible to develop and implement the company's safety training programs.

• Responsible to audit multifaceted programs, such as the hearing conservation program, that requires knowledge and action in several different areas.
• Respond effectively and appropriately in all emergency situations and incidents (fires, spills, near misses, etc.)
• Be able to perform basic industrial hygiene tests, such as a noise meter.
• Must be able to perform gap analysis on all safety related situations to ensure the proper root cause.
• Perform all duties in compliance with all corporate and regulatory quality, GLP, and safety regulations.
• Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FSMA guidelines as well as all safety regulations.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety & Quality.
• Demonstrates the ability to engage work in department and crossfunctional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.
• Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

You could be a great fit if you have these things -

• High School diploma or equivalent
• College degree preferred, or in lieu of, NSI or OSHA certifications
• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience, with food processing preferred
• Previous office experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite.
