DESCRIPTION
The Payroll Specialist - Accounting Clerk is a full-time position, and reports to the Director of Finance. This is a confidential non-union position.

You will facilitate and perform the basic functions of the AchieveKids payroll process, including time clock management/correction, integration of time off, and assisting in payroll resolutions.

In addition, this position will assist in weekly and monthly accounting operations. This position must be available to work at both AchieveKids campuses.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process payroll biweekly
  • Maintain, monitor, and manage ADP time clock
  • Coordinate with staff and supervisors on time clock corrections
  • Collaborate with Human Resources in payroll problem resolution
  • Track billing and collection, including Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable
  • Assist in preparation of various contracts: master contract, Individual Service Agreements (ISA), or others
  • Assist fullcharge bookkeeper at fiscal yearend, including contact preparation, yearend filing and financial audit preparation
  • 1099 misc. preparation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 57 years of experience in accounting and 35 years of payroll experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to plan ahead, multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality to all information and strictly adhere to the confidentiality policy
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to function as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Criminal record background clearance
