Nurse Technician - Med/Surg Unit
Our Lady of the Angels
Bogalusa LA
Job Summary: The Nursing Tech performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nursing Tech assists with patient bathing, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties that they have verified competencies in. Relies on establish guidelines to accomplish tasks. Works under close supervision of the nurse.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a Junior or Senior in an accredited nursing program or a recent Registered Nurse graduate who has not received results from the Nursing Board. Team members are not eligible to serve in this position longer than 12 months after graduation. Communication and Customer Service Skills; Computer Skills. BLS Certification.
