Description
The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to become even better with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a train traffic controller (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our Nordhausen location.

The vocational school is located in Schkeuditz. If certain requirements are met, we will support you with longer travel distances (for example, financially).

As an apprentice, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called a "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes throughout Germany.

Using screens or boards, you can monitor the trains in your area and use buttons, keys, and levers to influence their journey.

With the push of a button, you can change signals (traffic lights for trains) to green or red and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks.

You will also have many other tasks that make you the most important team member for the train drivers. You will be in constant contact and exchange information about any changes during the journey.

You will work with a small team in the greater Nordhausen area or in the Nordhausen region at a signal box close to the action.

Here, you will see the trains passing by. The trains are usually controlled using levers, buttons, or switches.
