DH Companies, LLC is a premier Project Management company providing Design, Procurement, Freight/Logistics, Warehousing, Installation, and Recycling services pertaining to the Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) and Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) utilized across an array of diverse industries, with a specialization in the hospitality industry.
As the Field Project Manager, you will plan, organize, implement, and execute project objectives pertaining primarily to Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E).
You will serve in a leadership capacity as the main point of contact onsite for the In-House DHC Project Management team, client, and general contractor.
The position will be traveling and reporting to the Operations Manager.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Be responsible for overall success of contracted projects, including managing the schedule, maintaining accurate communication to the internal DHC Project Management team, as well as warehouse partners and clients.
- Communicate with Operations Manager and Project Manager daily regarding project status and as needed for time off requests, scheduling concerns, etc.
- Conduct preproject site visits to ensure timelines are accurate and provide feedback to In-House PM team and client.
- Upon the start of the project, walk the building with the Install Manager and Field Supervisor to note any previous damage and provide a written report with pictures/videos.
- Meet with site POC prior to starting work onsite to discuss life safety training, confirm path or workflow, as well as any other pertinent information for the site, including elevator access, debris disposal, etc.
- Ensure building protection is hung and adequate before deliveries begin, properly maintained throughout the project and that the finishes are never exposed and/or compromised.
- Ensure all door tags are installed and match other supporting installation documentation prior to project kick off.
- Responsible for signing out and returning and site access keys/fobs provided to Field Crew daily.
- Collaborate with Installation Manager and Field Supervisor to discuss responsibilities for installing and maintain consistent communication regarding progress status.
- Clearly communicate with crew and temporary laborer's expectations, protocols and DHC standards at the start of the project (ex. overall behavior, appearance, communication, timelines, workflow, responsibilities, timesheet reporting, lunch, and smoke breaks, etc.), as well hold the team accountable. (Manage the Field Supervisor to review and enforce protocols with temporary laborers each day.)
- Maintain damage reports, allocation of damaged materials on site and timely communication and documentation to prevent delays and additional costs in the project.
- Ensure accuracy between Installation Tracker being sent to In-House PMs and actual site progress.
- Manage the tools, hardware, and rental equipment inventory including damages, loss, or replacement concerns.
- Perform walk through with the client for final signoff of contracted projects.
- When not scheduled on Installation jobs, participate in trainings, warehouse inventory audits, and other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Experience & Education
- 6+ years of progressive workrelated experience in project management, installation, or related fields.
- Hospitality or experience related to DH services is not required, but strongly encouraged.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents including but not limited to, floor plans, installation documents, shop drawings, elevations, etc.
- Valid Driver's license required.
- Computer experience is required.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs. up and down stairs.
- Be on your feet for 10 hours continuously.
