Digital Design System Team Lead

Location:

Your Role:


As the Digital Design System Team Lead in Mooresville, MO, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the activities of the Digital Design System team.

This includes launching, operating, and growing the Digital Design System as a service.

You will also collaborate with and support the Design System Working Groups for Products & Online Services, managing contributions, documentation, training, and onboarding.


In collaboration with the ZEISS Digital Design Council, which consists of design and brand leads across ZEISS' segments, you will strategically align and drive the vision and backlog of the Digital Design System.

As a disciplinary leader, you will guide and develop a team of two UX/UI designers and one community manager. This includes aligning budgets, content, and service roadmaps, as well as driving implementation with internal and external teams.


You will also work closely with various internal stakeholders, such as top management, design and software heads, as well as external stakeholders like customers, consumers, and product/platform owners, to support the continuous development of best-in-class user experiences.


Profile:

  • Master's degree in business, software, HCI, or interaction design preferred
  • Minimum of six years of professional experience in UI/UX design, preferably as a product owner or lead UX for a design system
  • Experience in building and managing a diverse UI/UX design and software engineering team
