    Description

    Senior SQL Developer

    Looking for a seasoned SQL Developer with expertise in writing efficient TSQL code, fine-tuning queries, and addressing various relational database issues. Proficiency in Service Broker is a plus. Should be well-versed in SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Agent.

    Must have a strong background in:

    • Stored Procedures
    • Debugging
    • Database Administration (DBA) activities
    • Data Warehouse
    • Windows
    • T-SQL
    • ETL
    • Database Management Skills

    Job Overview

    Responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of applications, including reporting.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Collaborating with clients, functional experts, and developers to grasp system requirements.
    • Designing data models and database schemas based on the requirements.
    • Implementing database administration and operational procedures.
    • Managing access permissions, security, and user privileges.
    • Setting up database clustering for High Availability.
    • Creating, optimizing, and maintaining database objects like indexes, triggers, views, stored procedures, etc.
    • Enhancing SQL query and non-query command performance.
    • Establishing standards and procedures for database development, administration, and deployment.
    • Installing, Deploying, and Maintaining SQL Server databases across various project environments.
    • Developing, managing, and testing backup and recovery plans.
    • Ensuring the proper functioning of storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures.
    • Conducting capacity planning.
    • Fine-tuning database performance for High Volume OLTP applications.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Over 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA Architect/Developer/Administrator on large-scale software projects.
    • Extensive experience in developing conceptual, logical, and physical models through requirements gathering.
    • Proven track record of maintaining schema and data changes in a large-scale environment.
    • Expertise in performance tuning in a large-scale SQL database environment.
    • Experience with integration, migration, and transformation of large-scale data.
    • Strong background in OLTP and data warehousing models.
    • Familiarity with SQL Server versions 2005 to 2016, including schema design, optimization, and failover.

    Experience in designing a database cluster for high transaction volumes.

    Candidates should be local to DFW.
