    The Woodlands Hospital provides expertise in a broad range of services, including heart care, neurology, sports medicine, diagnostic imaging, women's services, neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) surgery, pathology, pulmonary care and sleep disorders.

    Our clinical affiliations include Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Heart Institute, The Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Texas Children's Hospital.

    St. Luke's Health - Lakeside Hospital is a joint hospital dedicated to serving The Woodlands community.

    Responsibilities
    It takes a special type of nurse to work in surgery.

    Not only do they have to be skilled in the operating room, but they also have to maintain composure and manage a rollercoaster of emotions as the status of their patients could change in the blink of an eye.

    Most patients will never fully realize what their surgical nurse did for them during their most vulnerable moments, but we do.

    What you'll do:

    • Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
    • Care for patients before, during, and after procedures
    • Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
    • Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
    • Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

    Qualifications

    Minimum Experience:

    • One year nursing expereince as an RN
    • Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma
    • Bachelors in Nursing Preferred
    • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
    • BLS with skills demonstration

    Preferred:

    • Experience working as an OR / Surgery Nurse
    • Bachelors Degree Preferred

    Pay Range
    $ $52.80 /hour
