Management opportunity for an energetic, hardworking park service professional to fill a Resident Park Manager III role at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. Responsibilities include leading, assisting, overseeing, and mentoring staff. Position requires onsite living.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park
Situated on the banks of the Suwannee River, this center pays tribute to American composer Stephen Foster, known for writing "Old Folks at Home," the song that made the river famous. The museum showcases exhibits about Foster's famous songs, with his music heard from the park's 97-bell carillon throughout the day. Popular activities include hiking, bicycling, canoeing, and wildlife viewing. Trails wind through scenic areas of North Florida, with overnight accommodations available in a full-facility campground or cabins.

Specific Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises park staff, manages resources, facilities, and public use within existing rules to provide proper administration, resource management, visitor services, protection, and maintenance. Implements laws, rules, agreements, and permits. Manages employee selection, training, supervision, discipline, and budget requests. Implements maintenance programs and Park Protection Plan. Coordinates interpretive programs and cultural/resource management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Background Screening Requirement: Level 2 State and National criminal history check required. Position of Trust necessitates successful completion of background screening.
