PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data curation, management, archiving, and distribution using various cloudbased platforms.
  • Utilizing, maintaining, and improving a multiplex image analysis pipeline.
  • Regular communicating/presenting data analysis results, pipeline details, and related ongoing research in the field during internal and external meetings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, you must mínimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Possession of Bachelor's degree Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree. Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.

_Data Analyst I_
  • No work experience required with a Bachelor's degree.

_Data Analyst II_
  • In addition to the education requirement, a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
  • Experience with common data analysis and visualization programming languages such as python and/or R.
  • Familiarity with common microscopy and/or multiplex imaging data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with image manipulation and visualization programs, such as ImageJ, CellProfiler, and/or Ilastik.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Ability to incorporate published image analysis pipelines into current or developing workflows.
  • Experience with image classification using machine learning and convolution neural networks.
