    **Description**

    **Position Summary**This position is responsible for the planning and procurement of production material while controlling inventory levels. The Buyer/Planner Lead will organize and direct MRO purchasing for the procurement of materials, equipment, supplies, and services.

    **Objectives:**

    Direct/Manager/Supervise component purchasing specialists and procurement specialists.

    Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures.

    Collaborate with other departments to prioritize procurement needs.

    Evaluate results within the business unit to determine if organizational objectives are being met.

    Analyze and resolve procurement issues such as budget impact, investigation of supply sources, proposals, bids, etc.

    May act as the first point of contact for outside vendors in the absence of a dedicated vendor relations specialist.

    **Requirements:**

    **Education:** Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management

    **Experience:** 4+ years relevant experience; Purchasing, Inventory Control, and ERP systems experience.

    **Skills/Special Training:** Proficiency in oral and written communications.
