Provide all instructions related to job search, job retention, resume writing, and mock interview, Reporting directly to the Program Manager.

Develop training material and programs that result in career pathways for program participants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the service plan with the participants, which may include job shadowing, informational interviewing, and professional networking.
  • Performs job development and placement of project participants and creates a postemployment plan for each participant, which includes a referral to a mentor and a career plan.
  • Ensure that monthly status reports and matrices are correct and turned in to the Counselor, Service Coordinator, and Program Manager on time.
  • With the Program Manager, participate in yearly critical program reviews to determine program effectiveness, resource allocation, needed program adjustments, etc. Develop a curriculum related to education, employment, and diversity.
  • Maintain and develop community partners, nonprofit agencies, educational institutions, and employers.
  • Assist in the coordination and organization and community events.
Job Development

  • Work with program staff to create a plan to develop and follow up with a pool of employers who will support job placement services.
  • Research employers to target job development.
  • Manage and grow the Expandability's Programs business database.

Job Leads Provision:

  • Identify and source 35 job leads per week that align with the skills and preferences of participants in the Business Development program.
  • Ensure that job leads are relevant, diverse, and inclusive of various industries and job types.
Billing Management

  • Handle internal and external billing processes for a range of services provided by our organization, including:
  • Intake services
  • Employment and Supportive Services
  • Job Coaching and Short-Term Support
  • Work Experience Program
  • Positive Vocational Social Adjustment
  • Situational Assessment
  • Work Adjustment
  • Liaise with the Department of Rehabilitation, San Andreas Regional Center, and other relevant organizations to ensure accurate and timely billing submissions.
  • Monitor billing activities, track payments, and address any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Implement incentives and rewards programs related to billing performance and outcomes.
Represent Goodwill Silicon Valley

  • Represent Mission Services and Goodwill in the community through participation in appropriate organizations and networking events.
  • Responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either orally or in writing.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities in an employment or educational setting.
  • Experience in assessing skills and abilities of job seekers, teaching and coaching basic job preparation skills such as resume writing and interviewing.
  • Experience working with employers to understand job task analysis, integrating persons with disabilities into a work environment, consulting with employers regarding employment, and integrating persons with disabilities into the work environment.
  • BA/BS in rehabilitation, psychology, education, social work, or a related field.
  • Bilingual ASL or Spanish is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of employment law and requirements related to employment.
  • Preferably possess vehicle, insurance, CDL and excellent driving record. computer literacy and knowledge of MS office required.
