In this position, you will develop expertise, expand your knowledge and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development and perform due diligence while living inside or outside of traditional major markets.
How you will contribute:
Advising clients on enhancing state and local tax opportunities and managing state and local tax risk associated with mergers and acquisitions, including post-acquisition actions
Analyzing state and local tax risks of target companies using tax returns, accounting information, and interviews with management
Preparing and reviewing reports correlating state and local tax due diligence and tax structuring findings.
Identifying issues affecting purchase price, deal structure, or deal termination
Working closely with executives, investment bankers, private equity and corporate clients, attorneys, or other stakeholders
Leading, supervising, recruiting, and training team members providing state and local transaction services to clients
Managing multiple concurrent engagements
Working alongside other FORVIS team members to exceed client expectations

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

Extensive analytical and project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with corporate and flowthrough concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and lead team members
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
Willingness and ability to travel

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university or CPA eligible; licensed CPA is preferred
Five (5) years or more of state and local tax experience with a large public accounting or consulting firm with at least two (2) years or more of experience in Transaction Services / M&A Tax
Strong current knowledge in state and local income, franchise and indirect tax, mergers and acquisitions, and transaction services

Pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range displayed is for the Colorado market.

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position.

Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.

FORVIS reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.

Colorado Salary Range:
CO Minimum Salary (USD)

- $ 80,000

CO Maximum Salary (USD)

- $ 140,000

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position.
