About us
We are a professional, non-profit organization that collaborates with other agencies/programs in support of children in fostercare.

Our goal is to recruit, train, and support community volunteers to advocate for the safety and best interests of children in foster care through a process that ensures their voices are heard and their needs met in the community and during court proceedings until a permanent, and safe home is secured.

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and manage a team of volunteer advocates to ensure sound advocacy, permanency and safety for children in foster care
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and feedback to volunteers
  • Assist with coordinating volunteer assignments when needed
  • Collaborate with resources, other programs to ensure seamless integration of volunteers into organizational activities
  • Maintain all case related documentation within a secure database system
  • Monitor volunteer performance and provide recognition for their contributions
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities
  • Track and attend court hearings; review and file court reports
  • Attend 12 hours of continuing education annually
  • Participate in and attend community awareness events, yearly fundraising events and training activities.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in social work, nonprofit management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in volunteer management or a related field
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in using multiple software programs
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of issues and dynamics within families experiencing crisis as it relates to child abuse and neglect.
  • Commitment to CASA's goals, and mission as well as the standards set out by TX CASA and National CASA.

Note:
Experience in managing volunteers in a social work setting is highly desirable.

Pay:
$38, $42,000.00 per year
