What can you expect?

• You will be responsible for managing our virtualization platform with over 33,000 VMs on 1,500+ Linux servers in multiple globally distributed data centers, ensuring their high availability
• You will be in charge of the software support for our internal VI portal, which is used for orchestrating controllers (Ovirt, Vcenter) and ordering VMs for our internal customers
• You will analyze problems, resolve disruptions, and document them
• You will plan consolidation, migration, and renewal projects and implement them from an IT perspective
• You will manage our own monitoring system for the platform, optimize it based on metrics, automate manual tasks, and evaluate new technologies
• You will participate in a rotating 2nd level on-call duty for the virtualization platform with your team colleagues

What should you bring?

• You have solid knowledge in Linux server administration
• You ideally have knowledge of a Linux-based virtualization technology (RHEV, Ovirt, KVM, etc.), as well as practical experience in designing, building, and operating a virtualization platform
• You have expertise in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, as well as automation and orchestration tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible)
• You ideally have basic knowledge of NFS storage
